Hi Monica! I love salt, and I've never worried about my sodium intake much since I've never had an issue with my blood pressure. However, I'm starting to think about it more as I get older since I know my mom has had high blood pressure at times. Anyway, I read somewhere that the balance of sodium with potassium in your diet is more important than the sheer amount of sodium. I've just starting using a potassium chloride salt substitute in some of my cooking, and I'm wondering if it's true that getting more potassium means I don't need to reduce sodium as much? Either way I am using less sodium overall, so I know it's still a good thing. Thanks!
